What is the Climate Like ?

Similar to Sydney/Newcastle but a bit cooler in winter.  Can be unpredictable so pack a jumper/jacket.   Cabins have air-conditioning and a log fire.  Bring a beach towel for the pool or river swim.  Bath towels are provided for the cabins.

What do we bring ?

Food items, comfy & sturdy shoes for walking, a hat,  insect repellant, favorite DVSs, boardgames or books, swimmers and a towel for river/pool (all other linen provided), small backpack for bushwalks, jumper, jacket and fishing gear….your bike as Dungog has some great mountain bike tracks.

Where can we dine out ?

There are restaurants, caffees, clubs & pubs in Dungog a 20 min country drive.

How do we find Bluegums ?

Once you book you will receive full directions and we also text you the night before arrival.  We are a  2 1/2 hr drive from the start of northern F3 Express way.   From Dungog it’s the one road the entire way.   the GPS Coordinates : 32.14.40 SOUTH 151.41.02 EAST

Can we bring Pets ?

Accommodation for your Pet is 14 km south of Dungog on the way to us. Phone Sue Flannery on (02) 4996 5528.  Due to the abundance of native animals we cannot accept pets unfortunately.

How do we pay you ?

50% deposit (incl cost of extras) on booking, either byMASTER/VISA CARD/PAYPAL orcash.
Also by payment into Bluegums account, direct debit or by PayPalbut booking cant be confirmed until transaction is cleared. Telephone us on (02) 4995 9339 for more details. For security reasons please do not email your credit card details to us.

How soon should i decide to come ?

DEPENDS ON TIME OF YEAR / SEASON (check with us) BUT CONFIRMATION OF BOOKING TAKES PLACE WHEN WE RECEIVE A DEPOSIT. (as in A5 above, can be done over phone).

How do we get a massage?

A fully qualified maususe, lives nearby & comes to your cabin but booking is essential. Her contact details are given on booking.

Are the cabins set apart ?

Yes, this is most important to us.  The Lilypond and Possum cabins and our home are separate with landscaping in between for your privacy and the nearest neighbour is about 500 meters away.  Our  Bluegums Nests are set high on a hill and are also very private.

What if i need to cancel my Booking ?

If you can give 21 days notice, your payment will be returned.  If cancelling within 21 days of arrival your payment will be returned only if we can rebook the cabin.    Sorry but no refunds for early check out or no show for what ever reason.

What about if i want to change the dates of my Booking ?

No problem provided we receive min. of 21 days notice & have availability on the chosen dates,  there is a $85 Admin. fee.

Covid 19

We have developed a comprehensive ‘Covid-19 Safety Plan’, endorsed by the NSW Government and have been granted ‘Covid-Safe’ status.  We have been double vaccinated, as are our staff.

We are committed to doing our best to help stop the spread of COVID-19 and ensure the safety of our Customers and our local Community.

Therefore, we can only welcome all guests who

  • are fully vaccinated,
  • are under 12
  • or have a valid medical exception.

We would appreciate if you would help us keep our guests, staff and community safe so we do ask if you can follow the advice of the health authorities and refrain from travelling and staying at Bluegums if you feeling unwell, have COVID-19 symptoms or are high risk.  Please contact us asap in this instance so we can organise refund/reschedule.

Need to cancel due to a Government lockdown/Public order?

  • We can postpone until it’s safe to travel (our preference)
  • We can give you a full refund (we understand if this is your preference)

Cleaning & Damages

We expect the cabin to be left clean & tidy for the next Guests.
Accidents do happen & we will use our discretion but Guests are responsible for all damages. The cost of which will be deducted using their credit card details.

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of these lands, the Gringai people.
We pay our respects to Elders past and present and extend that respect to all First Nationals people.
