Bluegums Cabins is the perfect escape for anyone looking to unwind and connect in a beautiful, secluded retreat in the foothills of the world heritage listed Barrington Tops National Park, a stunning area of wilderness with towering Gondwana forests, rivers, waterfalls and diverse wildlife.
If you are a couple looking to spend time together in a peaceful and relaxing environment. We have 4 secluded cabins which are specifically set up for couples with a cosy log fire, spa bath and 4 poster bed.
If you are a bigger group we have 3 other properties that each sleep from 4-9 guests and our properties are spread out of the 180 acres so room and privacy for everyone.
The larger homes sleep from 4-9 guests so suitable for families or groups of friends. Each holiday home is fully self-contained with fully equipped kitchen and bbq so you can enjoy your stay with all the amenities you need to cook, relax and unwind and observe and appreciate the natural environment. There is also a salt-water swimming pool and tennis court on site.
We are located 20 minutes from the country town of Dungog where you can enjoy a range of activities from visiting art galleries, trying local cafes, the micro brewery and mountain biking at Dungog Common. The James Theatre is a great option for cinema lovers and the Royal Hotel has fantastic live music every weekend with artists from all over Australia and overseas.
We offer extra special rates for stays of 3 nights or more so you can really relax and enjoy a beautiful escape.

“Such a slice of heaven! So relaxing and the perfect place to go to slow down, connect with nature, and remember what is really important.
I loved all the wildlife that visited my cabin whenever I relaxed out in the hammock. The quiet and calmness of the bush was so enjoyable.
Bring along everything you need to entertain yourself, or enjoy walking through the estate, or a visit to the dam. If you are in need of a fancy coffee or sweet treats, then be sure to visit Dungog (20mins drive) and stop at Meg’s kitchen – so many delicious options.
Nights by the fireplace were toasty and hypnotic while listening to the nocturnal animals getting up to mischief, and the big comfy bed was perfect for a good night’s sleep. I left the roof skylight open each night to be awoken by the natural light in the morning – no alarms necessary!… I awoke refreshed and eager to enjoy another day and was so very sad when I had to leave.

It’s a great weekend for a road trip. Lots on in Dungog including the Dungog Show which is a country fair not to be missed - farm animals, races in chopping fence posts, lawn mowers and camels and finishing with fireworks and the demolition derby (hard to explain this madness!) .
