Bluegums Nests Barrington Tops – a Romantic Retreat

Private Spa Studio Accommodation in the foothills of the Barrington Tops near Dungog

A beautiful romantic getaway in a stunning hexagonal Nest cabin on a hill surrounded by the beautiful Australian bush with breathtaking views and walking trails with amazing wildlife.  Relax and enjoy the gorgeous valley views while you listen to the birds sing.

The Nests have exposed timber ceilings, a 4 poster queen bed, double spa bath so you can soak your worries away.  In winter, sitting by the cosy log fire is the place to be.

This is one of the areas where koalas have been sighted in the gums trees right in front of the Nests so keep an eye out as you eat your breakfast on the verandah.  Other regular visitors are the wallabies, pademelons, king parrots, kookaburras, echidnas, bower birds to name just a few.

A perfect spot to relax after exploring the beautiful Barrington Tops National Park…or  just a wonderful spot to just relax and take in the wildlife from the comfort of your beautiful cabin.

Other features include:

  • cosy log fire and reverse cycle air conditioning (firewood supplied)
  • lounge and dining area with DVD/CD/TV combination
  • fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, oven and cooktop
  • a balcony with a gas BBQ and outdoor setting
  • salt water swimming pool and tennis court in the recreation area (5 min drive away)

Guest review from recent Nest guests at Trip Advisor

Bluegum heavenly retreat

“Couldnt rave more highly about Bluegums Nests. What a wonderful escape into bush paradise. This was our second visit to Bluegums (if thats not testament enough), but our first stay in the nests (as opposed to the cabins, which are also delightful). The nests though are an apt description for being up amongst the trees and with all the beautiful parrots and kookaburras and bell birds. Just divine.

Amanda are Gavin are fantastic too, Very accommodating for a couple looking for seclusion, and so thoughtful with all the little touches, including letting us raid their fruit trees before we went home! A lovely couple hosting a lovely getaway retreat. Looking forward (already) to staying here again.”
