Bluegums Cabins Barrington Tops

Things to do in Dungog

We are located in the foothills of the world heritage listed Barrington Tops National Park, close to many beautiful walks with prisine rivers, waterfalls, water holes and Chichester Dam.

Our cabins are set on 180 acres which you are free to wander and explore. As you wander you will see wallabies, pademelons and water-dragons. Regular bird visitors include the satin bower bird, black cockatoos, king parrots and wattle birds as well as magpies and kookaburras.

In your cabin you will find maps to our favourite places and we are always willing to share what we know.

The Tawny Frog mouth can be seen at night time if you go for a wander often resting on a post waiting on some food. Some of our guests awoke to 2 Tawny Frogmoutss sleeping in the tree outside their cabin and another told me they were having breakfast watching a koala asleep in the tree so you just don’t know how lucky you might be here at Bluegums. Our sightings of koalas are on the increase with the latest being a Mum and her baby in a tree near the swimming pool on the 1st of January 2020.
