Bluegums Nests Barrington Tops – Beautiful, Romantic Getaways

Romantic Getaway Spa Studio Accommodation in the foothills of the Barrington Tops near Dungog with a log fire

A beautiful romantic getaway with a log fire and spa bath in a stunning hexagonal Nest cabin on a hill.  Here you will be surrounded by the beautiful Australian bush with breathtaking views and walking trails with amazing wildlife that you can enjoy watching from your deck.  Relax and enjoy the gorgeous valley views while you listen to the birds sing and the wallabies hop about.

The Nests have exposed timber ceilings, a 4 poster queen bed, double spa bath so you can soak your worries away.  In winter, sitting by the cosy log fire watching the trees sway and the birds fly.

This is one of the areas where koalas have been sighted in the gums trees right in front of the Nests so keep an eye out as you eat your breakfast on the verandah.  Other regular visitors are the wallabies, pademelons, king parrots, kookaburras, echidnas, bower birds to name just a few, am sure you will see plenty more.

A perfect romantic getaway where you can relax after exploring the beautiful Barrington Tops National Park…or  just a wonderful spot to just relax and take in the wildlife from the comfort of your beautiful cabin.

We look forward to welcoming you to Bluegums for that special romantic getaway.

The Nest Cabins – a romantic getaway as described by Guests

“A tranquil cabin nestled amongst the tree tops. beautifully equipped and made for a very romantic getaway. Great use of tennis court and pool. Loved the visits from all the wildlife. Highly recommend!”

Absolutely loved our weekend stay here! Thoroughly enjoyed the rocky crossing walk and beautiful (but very chilly) stream and waterfall at the bottom, the loop drive also had some beautiful views. The Chichester Dam was really cool to explore on the morning just after we checked out. Also had a great time visiting Dungog – the nursery, local produce market on Saturday morning, Meg’s Kitchen, and the visitor centre was also helpful! We would definitely love to come back soon. The fireplace was so nice. Overall an awesome experience.”

Relaxing romantic weekend hideaway with my wife . The wildlife was very friendly and entertaining, can’t wait to go back!!

“For a break from the hectic daily grind of a big city Bluegums is perfect to reset the spirits and slow things down! The only decisions to make each day is go to pool or explore your surroundings. Had a fabulous stay thank you”

“Had beautiful two days. Quiet bush setting, with friendly wildlife to enjoy and feed. So cosy with wood heater as well as air con., so despite any cold weather (which we did not experience) the cabin would be warm. Lovely place for a romantic getaway. Everything provided, including a lovely spa to relax in after some bush walking”.

“Had an awesome stay at Bluegums cabins for 3 nights. Customer service is brilliant, and self check in is even better. I was a late arrival and it was such a smooth process with organising a late check in. The cabin is well thought out and you get daily visitors of amazing wildlife. Close to Barrington Tops national park, great reception for optus on cabin property. I will be telling everyone to come here as its just beautiful and peaceful!! Thanks for making my stay enjoyable.”

“Absolutely amazing place to stay, the setting is perfect, lovely cabin, amazing wildlife, highly recommended 👌”

“If you want a stay that is tranquil and secluded but immersed in nature this is the place to be. An excellent spot to recharge and allow time to stand still. If only for a couple of days.”

“Bluegums heavenly retreat – “Couldn’t rave more highly about Bluegums Nests. What a wonderful escape into bush paradise. This was our second visit to Bluegums (if that’s not testament enough), but our first stay in the nests (as opposed to the cabins, which are also delightful). The nests though are an apt description for being up amongst the trees and with all the beautiful parrots and kookaburras and bell birds. Just divine.”
